Opening up the Brussels bubble is always fascinating. Especially when looking into the section of the bubble that is close linked to shaping and forming work programme content - short and long-term.

EFFRA – or European Factories of the Future Research Association – is one of the European Partnerships. This means that the organisation is feeding input into the Horizon Europe work programmes and have their own section – Made in Europe.

Chris Decubber is one of my contacts that goes way back. Probably 15 years. He has been an advisor for EFFRA since it was inaugurated in 2009 which of course means he has an extremely solid knowledge about how to facilitate strategic positions for the manufacturing industries vis-à-vis the EU R&D Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. Hence, he has been on my list of preferred guests for a while.

So here it is. We have an interesting conversation about the work EFFRA does, their role in the eco-system and how they work with the input for the work programmes. Great content!
