The Grant is born out of knowledge and expertise about EU funding. I have worked with EU funding since 2008 and have a build up a big backpack of experience and capacities within this area.

I have been a project manager and proposal writer myself and I have been responsible for communication and dissemination in a number of proposals and projects.

I know the struggle of making a blast of a communication and dissemination concept that swipes the evaluators off their feet.

I know the struggle of getting attention when the project rolls.

I want to help you to ease that struggle.

Your starting point

You are either preparing a proposal for an upcoming call or you are already implementing a project that has been funded.

You want to add a podcast to your communication strategy, but you are not sure how to attack this task.

You might actually have done a podcast in another project, but you know that the work is much more than just hitting the record button.

You think creating a sound universe for your project will make it truly special.

Unique Selling Points

1. The Grant is a plug-and-play solution

  • You only have to think about what kind of content you want. You don't have to suddenly become a podcast professional
  • I take care of
  • podcast webhosting to all podcast platforms
  • full podcast concept development
  • technical logistics
  • guest preparation
  • recording logistics
  • hosting of episodes
  • professional editing
  • website landing page on The Grant platform
  • graphical layout
  • LinkedIn promotion via graphical videos with sound snips

2 Established podcast listener base

Building up a podcast from scratch is rough and hard. 90% of all podcasts die before episode number 10. The Grant is THE podcast within EU funding with weekly episodes since May 2022 - every single Monday. With The Grant you therefore connect with an established listener base between 500-700 per month. This means that you are both secured outreach from day 1 and secured a broader outreach to a listener segment that understands your content.

3. I have 17 years of experience with EU funding and projects

I know what this is all about. My content angle and hosting approach is based on all this knowledge which means you got a podcast professional and podcast conversation partner that knows what you are talking about.

The steps towards your project podcast

Step 1 - Introducing your podcast idea

We sit down for an online meeting where you share your ideas and what you want to share with the audience including:

  • Your target and needs that the podcast should support
  • Angle of the podcast
  • Number of episodes
  • Guest shows and who to invite
  • Panels
  • Duration of episodes
  • Connection with the different work packages

I share also the subcontrating formalities and contract elements.

Step 2 - Draft podcast concept and approach

Based on the first meeting we agree how to develop a draft podcast concept either for one episode or for a podcast series.

  • You share in writing your preferred approach
  • I develop a content outline of the episode(s) including focus in each episode.
  • Collaboration conditions are exchanged including the service elements from The Grant, for instance:
  • Pre-recording preparation
  • Recording
  • Editing
  • Podcast hosting
  • Website platform hosting
  • SoMe marketing and promotion

Step 3 - Settling the final podcast concept

We agree on the final concept and service elements.

For proposal writers

If you are writing a proposal, I will forward a draft text for the application if you request this and adjust if need be. Subcontracting conditions and remuneration for the service is agreed and will be used only in case the proposal is funded.

For project coordinators

If you are implementing a project we can move on to the next steps.

The subcontracting formalities are settled at this stage including signing of contract before moving to the next step

Step 4 - Preparation of recordings and website

Recordings:

Preparation for the agreed recordings. Pre-recording meetings with guests dressing them for the content discussion and the technical logistics. Recording dates are settled with guests

Website:

A dedicated website for the project podcast is established at thegrant.eu. The website layout will be agreed with the relevant project representative. Click to see example:

Step 5 - Recording and editing

Recording of the episodes

Editing of the recordings into The Grant sound universe

All episodes can be reviewed before release

Draft graphical layout of promotion material forwarded for approval

Step 6 - Release and promotion

The episode is launched at the agreed release date on The Grant podcast hosting platform. The Grant has 500-700 listeners per month.

The episode is promoted on The Grant LinkedIn channel with graphical layout agreed. Niels Tudor-Vinther and The Grant has more than 6000 followers on LinkedIn.
